U.S. rowers get anti-microbial training suits for Rio Games 6/27/2016

U.S. Olympic rowers will be given a new, high-tech training suit with anti-microbial features designed to protect them against water pollution in Rio de Janeiro.

Athletics apparel maker Boathouse Sports says the new, seamless one-piece suit is knitted with an anti-microbial finish. It also has water-repellant features to keep the rowers cool and dry.  Read more...

Meet Grace Luczak 6/07/2016

After winning Gold in the W2- and W8x at World Rowing Cup II, Grace Luczak has secured her place to row at The Olympics Games this year in Rio.  A Stanford graduate, Grace has propelled her way up swiftly to become a formidable competitor on the world stage. Grace currently trains at the USRowing training center in Princeton, N.J. for the upcoming Olympic Games. 

 

Meet Matt Miller 4/20/2016

Meet Matt Miller from Springfield, Virginia. He played many sports growing up and took to rowing after a neighbor mentioned it to him in high school. From there he rowed at University of Virginia and then at the Potomac Boat Club. He started Training with the National team in January of 2014 and with them had won the gold in the Mens Eight at the 2014 World Rowing Cup 2. He says he's in the “Best shape of his life” and is optimistic for RIO 2016.

 

Meet Felice Mueller 4/20/2016

Meet Felice Mueller from Cleveland, Ohio. She started rowing in her Junior year at the Pomfret School in Connecticut and went on to join the Junior National team. She stays focused by not thinking about RIO too much, but by training hard and keeping a clear head.

 

Meet Henrik Rummel 4/20/2016

Meet Henrik Rummel from Pittsford, New York. He started rowing in 2001 after his mom had introduced him to the sport. He believes in order to win you must work well as a team. He says it can be tough sometimes but he is confident in his crew and is excited about competing in RIO.
