Team USA's Official Unisuits for Rio 2016
Introducing Team USA's Official Racing Unisuits to be Worn at
The 2016 Olympic Games in Rio
As the official outfitter of the USRowing National Team, Boathouse has worked hand-in-hand with the USRowing athletes to design, develop and test rowing gear in preparation for the 2016 racing season, including the Olympic Games in Rio. Boathouse Sports will be outfitting the National team with high-performing apparel needed to train, compete and ultimately stand atop the podium this August in Rio.
The 2016 unisuit for the URowing Olympic Team is a result of numerous prototypes and countless hours of in-boat testing. As the official outfitter of the team, we ensured to involve the athletes right from conception to execution, to create the best performance apparel that exists in the rowing market.
Boathouse’s attention to detail, craftsmanship and overall love for our sport is exactly what we look for in a supplier. They understand the needs of the athlete and constantly innovate to allow our athletes to perform at a world-class level", USRowing CEO Glenn Merry.
While there are several key highlights to the superior technology used in the new unisuit, foremost is the brand new fabric that features high-wicking micro-denier yarn for greater softness and comfort in wear without sacrificing support or durability. Parallel to this innovative fabric technology is the enhanced fit—the Pinnacle II Unisuit features an improved neckline and armhole curvature, a more flattering waistline, and non-roll leg openings for better performance, comfort and unparalleled style.
In response to the demanding rigors of training, Boathouse also removed the center back seam to eliminate friction for increased comfort during prolonged activity. The unisuit features innovative sewing techniques that reduces bulk and chafing and eliminates thread pops during wear.
This unisuit is a first in a series of performance gear that is underway for the USA athletes. We take great pride in outfitting our atheltes with gear that has been crafted - from raw materials to finished product - right here in our factory in Philadelphia, USA.
